New World of Clay

About  me

When Toy Story came out in 1995, I picked up an Etch A Sketch® and drew an Etch of Woody.  That is when I discovered that I could really develop this skill.

In the beginning, I would complete an etch, take a picture of it and then erase it.  This was stopped once the Neuschwanstein Castle was drawn.  This was a three hour process and was the first detailed etch.

Since then, I have perfected a technique that can provide a shadow effect to my etches.  This has increased drawing time from one to two hours, to currently taking six to twelve hours per etch.  See those that have been caught on camera in The Complete Collection.

There was a time when I was on hold with new etches and had fun with some digital photo editing.  Take a look at the street sign gags I did.

2007 marked the beginning of a new world for me.  I had dabbled with sculpting in school art classes, but never really tried clay sculptures before.  My first test was Fisherman's Pond.  It incorporated both the world of clay sculpting and Etch A Sketch®. Now, I've created a whole page, designated to my clay sculptures.  See it Here.

Custom Etches

Custom Etches vary in price, depending on detail.  Pricing begins at $100.00 for a basic etch.
